Rewind - Privacy Policy

Rewind respects your privacy.

Rewind is a local-first app. Your media collection is stored on your device, and we do not collect, track, or sell any personal information, usage data, analytics, or metrics of any kind.

• We do not require a user account.
• Your library, notes, and reminders are stored locally on your device.
• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising/tracking tools.
• Barcode scanning happens on your device — camera frames are not uploaded.

Metadata lookups. When you scan a barcode, Rewind may make a limited request to the iTunes Search API or Open Library to auto-fill a title and other public metadata. Only the barcode number is sent — no personal information, and the result is not shared anywhere else.

Reminders. Rewatch and re-listen reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. They do not send data to us.

Biometrics. If you enable the Face ID / passcode gate, that authentication is handled by your device's system. We never store your biometric data or passcode.
